Cruelty-Free Window Treatments
While searching for an economical replacement to the icky, dusty metal miniblinds in my daughter’s room, I discovered Redi Shades from Bed, Bath & Beyond. For $4.99, you get a light-filtering paper shade (no, seriously, it’s cool) with a peel & stick top that you can cut to custom widths and lengths for each window. The package even contains clips that can be used to hold the shades at any level (though I found paper clips to be less obtrusive). The self-adhesive strip at the top prevents further holes in the woodwork and can be easily removed. For added stability, I stapled through the shade on the top self-adhesive strip (just in case toddler Lil decided to yank on them). The shades look clean and bright and are perfect for Lil’s room. Yayyy for good economical design!
