As always, I find your thoughts parallel my own.  Your comments above are a recurring echo in the presentation Iâ€™m assembling about our clientsâ€™ frequent concern about resale value and how that concern (about some unknown, future potential buyer) is influencing the design of their home.  While I usually try to gently teach them of the folly of their thinking, what I really want to ask them is why they want to build, live in (and pay for!) a house for someone else.
